Born in Poole, Dorset, Aaron Levens provides the powerhouse rhythm behind Regional One. His musical journey began during his school years, where friendships with other musicians led him to explore a variety of instruments before discovering his natural affinity for percussion and, in particular, the drum kit. From classic rock to thrash metal, Aaron honed his craft across a wide range of bands while also earning a qualification in music production and technology.

Influenced by drumming greats such as Neil Peart, Joey Jordison, and Mike Portnoy, Aaron has developed a distinctive style that defines Regional One’s backbone. His playing blends technical fills, double pedal work, and inventive use of odd time signatures, creating a dynamic and powerful foundation for the band’s sound.

Since joining Regional One in 2019, Aaron has been instrumental in shaping the band’s music, including their Hero EP, and driving their reputation for high-energy, unforgettable live shows. Highlights in 2025 include performing in Guimarães, Portugal, where the band opened for Electron – a landmark moment in his journey with Regional One.
